Md Maruf Hossain Shuvo successfully defended his Ph.D. dissertation titled "Edge AI and Deep Learning for Precision Decision Support in Diabetes Diagnosis and Management" on April 19, 2024. Congratulations, Shuvo!

We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Shuvo will be joining The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) as a tenure-track assistant professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering starting Fall 2024. He is currently looking for Ph.D. students to join his laboratory at UTEP.

Supported by EECS Mizzou, Ms. Titirsha had the opportunity to attend the two-day iREDEFINE workshop organized by the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department Heads Association (ECEDHA) at Tucson, Arizona. The workshop included poster sessions, faculty mock interviews, and meeting with department heads while learning about faculty life and types of institutions. Ms. Titirsha is preparing to join academia.

Ms. Hassan is preparing herself to join academia through these resourceful and insightful workshops.

Dr. Islam presented a plenary talk work entitled "Biomedical Sensor Systems for Point-of-Care Health Monitoring Systems" at the fifth annual Quantum and Biomedical Applications Technologies and Sensors (qBATS) workshop in Lugano, Switzerland on June 20, 2022.
