Omiya Hassan successfully defended her Ph.D. dissertation titled "POWER-EFFICIENT MACHINE LEARNING-BASED HARDWARE ARCHITECTURES FOR BIOMEDICAL APPLICATIONS" on April 27, 2023. She will join Boise State University as an Assistant Professor starting Fall 2023. Congratulations Omiya!
Omiya Hassan received NSF iREDEFINE Fellowship
Supported by National Science Foundation (NSF), Ms. Hassan had the opportunity to attend the two-day iREDEFINE workshop as an iREDEFINE Fellow organized by the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department Heads Association (ECEDHA) at Santa Ana Pueblo, New Mexico, in Hyatt Resort and Spa. The two-day workshop included poster sessions, faculty mock interviews, and meeting with department heads while learning about faculty life and types of institutions. Ms. Hassan is preparing herself to join academia through these resourceful and insightful workshops.
The AVDL team will present two papers (one oral, one poster) at the 31st Connecticut Symposium on Microelectronics & Optoelectronics (CMOC) on March 1, 2023.
